Our origins<\/strong><\/h4>\n

During the post-war period, father and grandfather of today\u2019s Merlo family Dionisio, a man with a deep dedication to the art of crafting quality footwear, became a reference in the footwear sector. His leather creations \u2013 especially his ski boots \u2013 were renowned for their exceptional quality. Today, the wealth of knowledge and know-how he amassed has been passed down from generation to generation.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

The Founding of Lomer<\/strong><\/h4>\n

In 1975, Dionisio son Giancarlo decided to carry on the now legendary family name and founded his own brand: LOMER \u2013 a clever anagram of the family surname. Guided by tradition and inspired by the legacy of his father, Giancarlo began his own journey. Yet his vision for the business extended far beyond the limits of his own personal talents.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

An Indissoluble Bond<\/strong><\/h4>\n

As the years passed, Giancarlo\u2019s brother Sergio, who had grown up immersed in the world of footwear, including experience in Montebelluna\u2019s famed Sportsystem footwear manufacturing hub, joined the business. And so the family itself became the pillar of LOMER, and the brand increasingly reflected the indissoluble bond combining expertise and passion.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

During the 1980s, the business developed a brand that was well-respected in Italy and overseas. Lomer\u2019s legendary hiking footwear became an icon of durability and style. Italian passion burns intensely in every seam, and the brand began to export its creations to Germany, enjoying great success for their durability.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

The 1990s marked a decade of outstanding success: Our famous NEW VALIANT shoe \u2013 a symbol of superior quality and performance \u2013 sold over a million pairs, cementing our global reputation. During the same period, we formed a key partnership with Vibram, which led to the introduction of further technological innovations into our products. Lomer footwear became ever more functional whilst we maintained our firm focus on outstanding versatility and style.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n
